Needle Turn Applique Basics

If you have been wanting to learn needle turn applique this is the class for you.

Amanda from Sea Breeze Quilts is going to be teaching a class on Sunday 7th August  10am - 4pm.

If you don't know Amanda she is a very talented local up and coming designer.

You can visit her blog here.

She will be get you started on her way of needle turning.

Projects for the day are the table runner seen below or a cushion.

Cost of the class is $50.00

Microwaveable Batting!! Apparently, this is the latest thing......Potato bags for cooking potatoes in the microwave! The Warm Company has introduced a needle punched cotton batting suitable for use in microwave projects. You can buy a pack containing 1 yard for $18.50. This is enough wadding to make 6 potato bags (the pattern is included). And just to make it all look good I have sourced some potato fabric (priced at $21 per metre).

Blackbird Designs I have just finished this lovely cross stitch design from the book "A Stitcher's Journey" by Blackbird Designs. I have always loved cross stitch but never found much time.
