Hettie's Patch was fortunate to have both Kathy Doughty and Wendy Williams (from Material Obsession)teach in our classroom in the days leading up to the Craft Fair in Adelaide.
Bob was also on deck, checking out everyone's chairs and bags to see which one he preferred. He decided Kathy's stunning Kantha bag was where he would sleep for the next two days. Kathy sells these bags from her Online Shop (minus the cat fur!).
We had a wonderful 5 days of classes. Kathy has posted lots of photos on her blog. So go to Material Obsession Blog to see more of what we did for five days.
I chose to make a cog wheel block (one of the designs in Kathy's book - The Promise of Joy). Wendy and I discovered that we both love crowns, so............Kathy made one for me from wool felt. See it at the bottom left hand corner of the photo. I need to find a special project to use it on!
We had a lot of fun both at Hetties and the Craft Fair and both Kathy and Wendy will be back for more classes. Wendy is teaching at the Quilters Guild next August.
Hetties stocks both Kathy's book and her templates and hopefully soon you will be able to see more samples made using them. We also have a large selection of wool felt and valdani threads used in Wendy's patterns. If you would like to be notified when we re-book classes for Kathy and Wendy, please leave your email address or phone number with us at the shop.
